Before you travel

Useful details before you go.

Use this checklist as a starting point. Confirm current travel requirements, dates and logistics with the agency and relevant providers before making arrangements.

Travel season

The agency’s stated travel season is October through May. Ask about the dates you are considering and confirm any current restrictions or arrangements.

Flights and visas

International flights and visas are not included unless specifically confirmed. Do not assume a flight operates on a particular date. Verify current routes and entry requirements before purchasing travel.

What to pack

Consider sun protection, comfortable walking shoes, a reusable water bottle, personal medicines and clothing suited to outdoor travel. Ask the agency for a list tailored to your confirmed itinerary.

Respect the island

Follow local guidance, avoid disturbing wildlife or removing natural material, and pack out litter. Visit sensitive places only as agreed with your local guide.

Before confirming

Ask for the final price, included services, overnight arrangements, dates, route and any documentation needed. Availability is not guaranteed until the agency confirms it.

Owner setup

Connect Google Analytics and Search Console

Analytics is not collecting data yet. Create a GA4 property and web stream in the agency’s Google account. Add its Measurement ID, beginning with G-, to ga4MeasurementId in content/brand.json and republish. Analytics loads only after a visitor opts in. It can report aggregated sessions, page views, popular pages, broad location, traffic sources and device categories. It does not identify every visitor personally or send enquiry names or message text to analytics.

GA4 Realtime shows recent activity: the last 30 minutes for standard properties, or up to 60 minutes for Analytics 360. Realtime does not email an alert for each visitor. Custom Insights can optionally email an alert when a configured condition is met; hourly evaluation is available for web data, so this is a threshold-based alert, not an individual-visitor notification.

After publication, add the public website URL as a property in Google Search Console, verify ownership, then submit sitemap.xml. This requires the agency’s Google account and proof of domain control. Sitemap submission is a hint to Google, not a guarantee of crawling or ranking.
